pv elite clip design

I have a vertical vessel and just need to verify clip capacity of platform. The clip looks straight forward to input except the picture orientation is for horizontal vessel. So the thickness of the plate is now the length of the plate. I dont think this matters but just want to make sure this is not an issue.
Im used to computing thickness of plate against the bending stress. It's just weird to me I'm checking the length now instead.
