Wondering if anyone has any experience with pumping effluent directly from an air stripper. Currently the air stripper I am working with gravity drains to the sewer, but I want to install a pump after the tower and pump the water to an infiltration gallery. The flow rate is a constant 160 gpm. There used to be an in-line pump similar to what I am propsing in the past that operated poorly, my feeling is that was due to poor engineering.
Has anyone ever dealt with anything like this? It seems like an easy enough problem, but I am not sure what type of controls I would use inside the air stripper. My solution is to run the pump with a VFD controlled by a pressure tansducer that will sense the water level inside the air stripper. Any other suggestions?
