What basic measures can I take to minimize the damage a 50 HP motor will do to a slab as it cycles up to 3600 RPM and down repeatedly during the day? The pump/motor skid weighs about 1500 pounds and is mounted with (4) 5/8" anchor bolts. The slab is 12" thick with #5 on 12" both ways top and bottom. I have specified 4000 psi concrete. The owner is concerned that in 15-20 years the concrete will "powder" from the vibration and the pump will be "loose". Any suggestions are welcome, thanks in advance!

Use elastomeric pads beneath the skids? Such as what is used on bridge bearings.

Not that the elastomeric would last, but replacing them would perhaps be easier than replacing the concrete.

What about bedding it down on an epoxy grout?
Use lock-nuts or loctite to ensure the anchor bolt nuts don't loosen and I don't think that there will be a problem.
