Hello,

I have a pump supported eccentric screw pump (7 horse) supported on a steel frame, i need to know if the steel frame will support the pump while running.

Nb: the pump is 7.3 Hp, weight about 150 kg

Hi Afifhamdan

Well who designed the frame, if it was purposely designed to support the pump then it should be fine and you could ask the frame designer.

if i share more details about pump and the existing structure, can someone help me? and if someone had one manual for designing the support of pump

Hi AfifHamdam

Well we can try but why are you tasked with this problem also we will need drawings or sketches of fra me and pump

No manual would usually be needed for such a small power rating for any pump built after the advent of electric motors. IMO. Is it electric? Height above grade? Pipe sizes? Op temperature? Pipe may be the biggest problem.

I attached a rapid skecth drawing for the steel platform, the height is 4 meter, pipes 4 inches . the pump is 160 x 30 cm supported on 2 legs

Hi

Sorry there is nowhere near enough information to help you, what is your job and why are you calculating this? Have you no senior engineer you can ask?
