I need to know what is the profile of the scroll for a given centrifugal wheel.

Seem to be a involute or a spiral , but I do not know what mathematic function rule the drawing of such profile.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry! But it's Dejavu allover again. In a post on HVAC/R you ask a similar question regarding how a blower scroll is constucted using Arcamedic expansion. Now here, you ask about a pump convolute. With humorous intent. Let me predict that next you'll be posting on Electrical Motors & Controls how to drive two Arcamedic delivery systems one for air and one for water using a double shafted motor with one on each end of the motor with XXXX.X flow on one side and XXXX.XXX on the other.
We all look forward to the post!!!

From what I perceive from all your post's is that you are initiating the re-invention of the wheel. May I suggest stop buying the blower wheel first then looking to maximize its output by desiging a scroll yourself. Specify the overall System then Buy the system that meets your requirements.
You will not always get the information you seek on the WEB. I looked for scroll development information on the WEB and came up stinko. I do have such information at my fingertips, but its just not in digital format and therefore I cannot send it to you.
I hope you and all readers see the humor (levity) that's intended here along with my opinionated view.
Good Luck

My apologies, Arcamedic should be Archimedic. Whoa! that was off a bit.

Ok .

It is not archimedic , seem to be a architec who is a doctor or viceversa.
You should want to say ARCHIMEDES spiral.
I shall say to you that the expansion is logarithmic.
After posting my post I found it on the web, and looking on a old german book (1940) I found it too there.

And now about my need to know how the scroll is desing.

Hope you live in a free and democratic country , so why you blame me for be curious and be a profesional that always want to learn more ?.

Even in the most tiranic goverment , if you dont think about politics, you are free to think any thing you want in technical affairs, with the exception if you are going counter to the personal interest of some politician who besides ruling is country in a tiranic way , also manufacture fans and pumps.

In this forum and other a had seen so simple question as how to calc a simple beam. So why I can not put this , or how to change a refrigeration commpressor only knowing the max allowable test pressure and the LRA amps.

The other and more important fact is money.

I need to build my self such blower.

You may see other of my post , asking for the fan capacity knowing and having a broken centrifugal wheel, that was my first step on this task.No body answer me.
Seem to be that fan science is a hermetic science and for the iluminated people
The manufacturer of a machine used a multiblade , the same you use in a simple window airconditioner to handle the fumes exausted form a industrial fryier. It keep clean the same time a "drunk people keep mute" .
So due to the mud on the blades it go unbalanced and broken.
Because my client is reticent to allow any people to get inside his manufacturing plant , (client always has reazon , (and more if it is wrong), he ask me , please give me a replace to this broken fan.
By now I'm developing a lisp to draw such scroll , but I will do it as a monkey, imitating or copying.

Maybe if some one other fan guru would like to explain me, I will be satisfied in my willing to learn a litle more every day.

And beside all, I must tell you I'm a 55 years old student.

Please apologize me if I put some statement that could offend you.

Best regards.

PS: I will be glad and graceful to you if you can send me , in any way, the info you have at your finger's tip.
Please send it to k281969@hotmail.com
