Does anyone have any experience with pump station controllers? Looking to influence specification and would like feedback. Price, feature-sets and experiences appreciated. Some of the products discussed are Grundfos LC231, Grundfos LC241, SEL-241P, Xylem MultiSmart, Allen-Bradley Micrologix, Siemens Simatic PLCs, Others. Any thoughts appreciated.

I have used Allen-Bradley Micrologix with no issues. There's an advantage in equipment coordination if the pump supplier is also doing the controls.

If a single manufacturer is made responsible for the entire pumping unit (pump, frame, shafting, motor, and controller), the motor is selected on the basis of the complete operating conditions presented by the project engineer.

Do you happen to know just the Micrologix controller pricing? I'm trying to assess standalone controllers vs. PLCs and more advanced control systems.
