PRV effluent collection and handling

Hi

We have two tanks with 10" PRV's (1 PRV +1 bursting disc).

Both if they did vent would vent to locations where people could be/passing.

I am looking to direct the exit pipe to a spare tank located next to the two tanks to vent.

Any advice?

IS your design to API 2000 ? What the set pressure of PRV & RD ?

10 in ? Too big, I suggest only use RD for fire scenario @ higher pressure and PSV for other scenarios @ lower pressure

adx recommendation is one of the practical way you may consider..

RD to cater for large relief (i.e. fire, gas blowby, etc)
PVRV to cater for small relieve (i.e. feeding pump failure)

You may need stagard the setpoints to avoid RD action inadvertently.
