properties window is empty!?

hi,
my companies computer guy ran some ad-ware programs and apparently deleted some essential ACAD file. Now, when I open the properties window, I get the window with the tabs, "categories", & "alphabetical", but nothing below, just blank white space. Does anytone know which is the affected file?

I hope anybody else has a better idea...

I know the problem for 2002-> solution: deinstallation -> insallation...
