Hi everyone
I would like to ask you please if you can help me to solve a Patran Problem, i have been working with a 3D wing and using 2D shell elements using composite material and when I star the Analysis calculation a window apperatome saying "Some elements in the model have no properties defined "

I checked all model looking element without properties and I cant find it even I put element and nodes in each group corrrectly

Can anybody give an advice to solve this problem? it is possible to find wich element dosen´t have properties with Patran?

See you in advance

Thank you

Tomi

Use the utilities group create command based on properties. Any elements without a physical property will be identified and put into a new group.

Hello-

I'm having a similar problem that may have the same solution.

I've created a BAR2 element from two nodes and assigned it a material/property.

I need to rotate and copy this element around several times to make a full 360degree revolution (to make a full ring).

When I use the transform/element/rotate function in Patran, the new BAR2-elements are created successfully but for some reason the properties are not transferred to the new copies.

By using group-elements-with-no-properties from the utilities menu, I am able to create a group that contains these undefined elements.

My question is how do you now assign this group a property-set/material ID?

FYI: I'm currently using the Patran2008r2 interface.

Thanks.

With that group posted, you can only do Properties>Modify and add those bar elements to the application region.
