Hello,

I need help to find a way to ease the management of alternate assemblies :

I have a master assembly which contains many alternate assembly members.
When I make a change in the master assy, I would like to easily propagate the change on ALL the alternate assy.

Currently, my only option is to select the members and save them one by one, this is painfull...
There is a buton in the assembly table menu which says ""save all members"" but it saves the parts and not the alternate assys...

Is there a way to automatically propagate all the members ?

Thanks for you help

Frederic

In the family of assemblies tab, there is a check box to "Apply edits to all members"
With that checked, whatever you do to one member, you do to all members.

There is no propogation with FOA. Family of Parts needs to be propogated from the master, but even then when you update the master, you can resave all the child members and they will get the update.

Thank you Scott,

I was aware of the info you gave me.
I hoped that someone had a smart macro that would automatically save every members of the assembly.
I am working on assemblies with many many members...

Regards
