Project phases, technologies, tests

I'm new to this forum but I can see it looks helpful.
What I'm looking for, for my research, is some sources of information on the following:
- the standard breakdown, as used and recognised by industry, of the various phases of a space project, such as research, technology development, engineering design/development, production, test, etc.
- a comprehensive list of all technologies used in the space industry
- a list of all the tests that spacecraft and their sub-systems must undergo before ready for flight.
OK, I'm not asking for much, am I!? Just some clues as to where these sort of things are defined.

Most European space projects work within the ECSS framework. See

It covers project structure and management and qualification/acceptance testing as well as QA and engineering practices. Most programmes (Europe or otherwise) tend to work in a similar way in terms of project breakdown.

The ESA site (

is an obvious starting point for any space industry information but gives a good overview of the different technologies. The BNSC site (

http://www.bnsc.gov.uk)

is a good source of information about UK involvement, if this is required, with links to UK space companies/organisations.
