What is it that you wish to accomplish? Learn to use PM software? Use some tools? Or become a certified PM?
For background, check out Project Management Institute. For a degree, check out Keller Graduate School of Management. There's all kinds of courses in-between. Keller offers some on site training if you have a group interested.
There are a number of universities offering day sessions. I think U of Milwaukee is one.
PMI publishes a Project Management Book of Knowledge that is pretty much the handbook and they offer certification in this field as well. Its been a while since I corresponded with then but IIRC they have a list of trainers/organizations who may be able to provide what you seek.

thanks Griffengm, I realize that my question was really broad, I just need a start. I am fairly new in the oil and gas industry and am going to have some of my own projects this summer, such as installing compressors and reboilers, and some piping changes and just wanted some training to get me started. Another quick question, what is IIRC?

When I first started doing some of this, I used a small planner package called Fastrac(?). It worked okay.
During my Master's work, I used MS Project. Project seemed to be one of those programs that let you get started with the early steps being intuitive and then as your needs/skills increase, there are additional functions to support you. I never have fully incorporated all of its abilities.
Check around. There may be some shareware that could get you started. There are also some high end packages that get very expensive.
Biggest bang for the buck? Get a copy of the PMI book, a cheap/free software program and a few free evenings.
