Profile settings losing icons and menus at restart or opening file

When I open DS I have no icons or menus. I have to type the command PROFILES and activate the <<unnamed profile>> or import an old setting and then activate it. That doesn't always work, but most of the time. Once I close out all my open files, or close the program, the settings are lost. It is as if the default profile (which I cannot seem to change) has no menus and no icons. I have to load a profile from 1 version ago (1.2.188) for it to work correctly. As long as I keep at least 1 drawing open, the icons will remain as desired, but if I close out the files I have to redo the profile.

Any thoughts??
