Hi, I am programming a Zeiss CMM in Calypso software and have a question about profile(s) of a face.

I have a Cylinder block with 6 bosses with a Profile tolerance 0.5 ABC and a Profile Tolerance 0.4 A (see attached jpeg).
The first part (0.5 ABC) is simple enough, the software allows me to select the Plane/Boss and it calculates to ABC.
However, I do not understand what is required by the Profile Tolerance 0.4 A, how is this different to ABC?
Bear in mind the boss heights are all different heights, 8.5mm, 22.5mm, 25mm, 78.8mm, 82.5mm & 86.5mm.

I have attached a drawing, see Profile.jpeg

Thanks

If ASME Y14.5 governs the drawing interpretation, it is a composite profile tolerance. The lower segment referencing datum feature A only is a refinement of orientation, the basic relationship between the 6 surfaces, and the form of each surface. The upper segment controls the location of the entire pattern of surfaces relative to A,B,C.
The datum feature symbol attachment to theoretical lines looks wrong but I hope that the triangular leaders were connected to physical features that were cleaned up from the image.

Just to follow up on what Burunduk wrote... yes, the profile tolerance of 0.4 controls the form (flatness) of each boss face, and their alignment to each other (offset if indicated as such), and when it comes to datum A, that would be controlling perpendicularity (a specific type of orientation).

Theoretical datum lines also having MMB... I wonder how this drawing came to life.

Wuzhee, it might be just fine if datum feature B is properly identified in a different view.
This is not the full drawing.
