Professional Engineering Approve

I'd like to know if a pressure vessel that is designed according to ASME-SEC VIII-DIV-1 and a finite element analysis is performed for it to see the localized stress construction, does it needed to be approved by a professional engineer or not?

As I explained earlier, the equipment is designed by SEC VIII, DIV1, and to examine the localized stresses in the equipment our client asked for an FEA procedure in accordance with SEC. VIII, DIV 2, PART 5. So, according to Appendix 2-B of DIV. 2, PART 2, it's said as following

We suspect whether we need all our documents including drawings, FEA Calculation book, and mechanical calculation book, should be approved by a Professional Engineer or not?

Ie need not be. The vessel is per div.1. This is an additional requirement to the contract to a div.1 vessel.

Look not to Part 2 of Section VIII, Division 2, but to Appendix 47 of Division 1. As you said, you are fabricating to Division 1.

Where will the vessel be located? Although I agree that Division 1 does not require a professional engineer approval, some jurisdictions do require that the FEA is certified by a professional engineer.
