I am interest, in every aspect of modeling , simulating and designing, wich softvare is the dominant one???

Pro/Engineer Wildfire or CATIA ???????

Best regards ! ! !

Rakic,

You'll need to provide more information on what you are looking for. Catia is dominant in Automotive Body/Chassis, Aerospace, and Ship Building where class-A surfaces are required and much of the detailing is driven from surfaces (sheet structures). Pro/E has a compelling market share in Automotive Powertrain, Defense, Consumer Products, etc. It really depends on what you are going to be doing with it. Other than the issues surrounding Class-A surfaces, there is little to technically distinguish them. It has more to do with marketing and a herd mentality.

a coworker that uses wf2 and catia says he prefers catia for 2d from the 3d model and the surfacing aspects. However, a comparable package from catia is far more expensive than from pro e. Depends what you need, if you can have both then even better...catia tends to be industry specific as Mleow mentioned
