Can anybody give me any information about
the production parameters (concerning soaking temperature,
heat treatment, rolling conditions, etc.) and chemical compositions, respectively, to the following
API 5L grades: X60-X80 ?

Thanks for some information!

Best regards,
WoKu

These pipes are normally in the Q&Ted conditions. If you need info on the chemical compositions for the welded pipes let me know. Thanks and regards

Thank you, Mr Sayee Prasad, for information!

Now I do have another question, concerning API 5L grades:

Is there any difference in produce sour and non-sour API 5L steel grades, especially concerning the hot rolling area?

Best regards,

WoKu

Hi everyone,

I'd like to know about X60-80 microstructure in post fabrication condition and fabrication schedule for welded pipes. I'm working with ultra low carbon steel pipes

Sour and non-sour refers to the fluid flowing in the pipe and not the pipe itself.

For a sour fluid, you need to have tighter requirements than is specificed in API 5L. For example, control the chemistry and toughness of the pipe. Suggest you get help from a metalurgest (never could spell).

You should be according with NACE-MR-0175 for material requirements for sour service, the hardness shall be controlated in the material terminated.
