I am new to the field and don't quite know what the difference is between PV parts that are non-PPAP parts and OTS (off tool parts)? I work for a tier 2 supplier. when we send OTS parts to our supplier which is a OEM tier 1 supplier, is that when they start their PPAP process? and what do they do with non PPAP (PV) parts that we send them?

Non-PPAP (PV) parts are tested but not necessarily sold to the final customer.
