Processor?

Hi,

I'm planning to by a laptop, and maybe i want to do some calculation on the computer. Do anyone know if ABAQUS is restricted to a certain processor, or can I by a AMD, INTEL or whatever. I'm thinking of bying the new Intel cenrino 1.3 GHz.

I hope somone can help me!

We are currently running Abaqus v6.3 on two different platforms, one an Intel Pentium IV, and the other an AMD.

Hi

I am currently running Abaqus using n AMD processor on a red-hat 8.0 linux m/c. Both version 6.3 and 6.4 (note; pre-release version) seem to run ok, however the v6.4 interface for CAE/viewer is far superior to the clunky 6.3 version.
Note, the AMD processor is not supported officially by Abaqus.
