I am developing a manufacturing procedure for installing vfd’s on our equipment. I am specifically looking for a standard or code (ISA, IEEE, etc.) that gives guidelines on routing process control signal wires to power equipment, such as 4-20mA speed signals to vfd's. I would like to use more than common sense as a reason to install separate conduit runs, etc. Is anyone aware of any such standard I can reference in my procedure? I appreciate any assistance. Thanks.

Not that I'm aware of, this is simply a wide open zone, due to types of equipment, size, heat, etc.

What I could suggest is contact the manufacture of each unit, and ask them for anything where other clients have had to ask the same questions, it just might be that the Mfg. HAS routing info for cables, etc. as well as sheilding (mech & noise) and/or conduit ideas for the said equipment.
