Anyone know information about procedures to replace a power cylinder of an engine CAT 3616?? I'm trying to get the height of the hook that will be place on the compressor building and I need to get the height of the piston and connecting rod at the maximum extension. In order for them to be lifted and move them away.

I believe you can order a DVD with information on all ther products and it includes dimensions for clerances.

yeah, your servicing Cat dealer should be happy to help. From the top of the piston to the c/l of the big end bearing (so excluding the bearing cap) should be about 33", if memory serves.

dcastro, is that DVD free of charge?

You need to get a copy of the G3600 Application and Installation Guide.

Your local CAT dealer can download it from the CAT intranet sit in PDF format and give you a copy. The publication has recently been updated, so I don't know the current form number.

LEKM5581 is a publication number from the Marine 3600 A&I Guide for service procedures, had the dimensioned drawing you are looking for.

Hope that helps.
