Hi all,

I am a relatively new user of Solidworks. I have trouble when trying to save a drawing as a PDF file. When I go 'file, save as' and save the file as a pdf, all the lines that are in the sheet format, what i would call the background, are much much thicker than they are in solidworks. Also, when saving a document of many pages, some pages are strangely in portrait when all the others are in landscape as they are supposed to be.

I have always selected 'high quality' and landscape in the page setup. And I am unable to find any help on the matter.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Regards.

I have found it easier to print to a PDF versus saving as a PDF. My drawings are much cleaner this way, IMO.

I never use print to pdf because we use A and B sheets in most of our drawing packets. Whenever I print to pdf, ALL sheets are either A OR B sheets. Save as pdf correctly saves each sheet to it's correct size.
Save as PDF > Options tab, try "Use specified printer line weights, file, line weights)

We have it easy here, strictly 11x17 so print to PDF works well for us.
