We have just moved from SW2007 to SW2009 sp5. I have a fairly large assebly that wouldn't save after the upgrade. I am now trying to rebuild it and it is still failing. Each sub assembly seems to open and save OK. The top level assembly is new. Any ideas where I might look for issues?

Do you have any configurations in you parts or subassemblies?
I hade a fail to save issue and fixed by rebuilding all the configurations

But then my assembly was only small with only a few configuration in some subassemblies so wasn’t a big job

Thanks. I thought it might be configurations so I saved all the sub assys with no configurations, just default, and rebuilt the assembly. It still fails to save. Shall check again in case I missed one.

My big 'un saved ok in 2009.5 after setting display mode to wireframe/hidden lines removed on everything.

Looks like it was a dodgy custom texture on one of the parts. All the other custom textures came through OK but not this one.
