Hello Everyone,

I am trying to do some simulation with Abaqus using Coupled Eulerian Lagrangian (CEL) Method. This method is new for me, so please excuse me, if the answer to my problem is obvious :)

I am trying to simulate water being pressurized in a cylinder. I assume, the cylinder is a rigid body and the "moving part" at cylinder top that generate pressure is as well a rigid body. I also use a general contact interaction (all with self).

The result of the simulation is that the water is somehow disappear or licking out of the cylinder.

I think it is because the Boundary conditions of the Eulerian Element or the interaction definition are incorrect.

I appreciate any input and advice to this problem.

I also attach the the input file.

Many regards,

Gunardi Ali
