Hi
When we communicate with the AVR using a USB cable, it gets the communication and after a few minutes, the communication cuts off. This repeats itself. We have tried on 2 other USB port on the laptop same problem.
It seems last time when we communicated with the AVR while the alternator was off, we did not get this problem.
We are using software ABB CMT 1000
Has someone encountered this problem before?

Version of our software is 6.316

Yes, had similar problem with a multiple unit site a few years ago, was told by someone very familiar with the regulator to make sure the laptop with the software was NOT plugged into the power supply, seems i can create a ground loop in some systems. When we did that it seemed to work ok.

Also found in one instance that the USB driver for the software needed to be deleted and reinstalled.

Hope that helps, Mikel.
