Hello all

I am using NX 7.5 and teamcenter 8.3.
I always face different kinds of problem, whenever i work with drafting large assemblies in NX. Here i place a problem that i recently experience.

I need to create 3 exploded views of a large assembly. SO i followed the following steps.
-->created a model view 1 --> created explosion 1-->saved model view 1
-->created a model view 2 --> created explosion 2-->saved model view 2
-->created a model view 3 --> created explosion 1-->saved model view 3

Now, i created a new "Drawing (as same item)" . When i went to drafting mode, i could see only "Model view 1" has been imported in the drawing. Other model views were not imported.
I doubt whether my procedure is wrong or do i need to manually import the model views using any options??

Please guide me..

Hello.. I use this thread to ask one more doubt.. Is it possible to completely eliminate "Preview" process while creating a new drawing view. It is taking two much time to display the components before creating a view .

Those who worked i I-deas NX might have experience in creating views without updating.

Note:I have already enable - delay update while creating view, delay update options in drafting preferences.

Are you creating the views in the drawing file or the model file?

Hello ewh,

I am creating drawing in drawing file. (Drawing-same item)

But are you creating the views in the drawing file, or in the model file and importing them?

Oh, i understand.. You mentioned model views..right?

I have created them in assembly, and they are automatically imported in drawing file when i created as relative to that assy.
