Obtaining timely and accurate information from other design professionals
Today
It shouldn't be.
Emails, reminder emails, requesting project schedules and update meetings (presumably before I get a nastygram to let me know I'm late).

1. Doing 1000 things in a design for the pay of 100.
2. All the time.
3. Some treat it as a commodity. We are not.
4. Charge alot for my designs. Cherry pick good people to work with.

2. Maybe once or twice a month.
3. It slows things down and interferes with the workflow.
4. It's something you cannot do much about. My urgency is not their urgency.

1. Designing a structure in some logical order, doing every task once and it's done, until completion wouldn't be terribly difficult. However, a flow chart of the design process would look more like spaghetti due to inevitable changes that are occurring all during the process.

2. All but the easiest and smallest projects.

3. Because it's hard to remember what has been done already. Because change #47 affects a lot of other parts of the design.

4. Try to stay as organized and logical as possible. If you're starting from a solid and organized point, and chaos is thrown in, at least you have a chance. If you're starting with crap logic and organization and chaos is thrown in, then forget it.
