Problem copying and deleting object w/ shortcut keys

Just recently I found out that i could no longer
delete objects by highlighting them and pressing the delete
key. and cant use ctrl-c and then hit ctrl-p to paste,
now i have to select the object again and hit enter to copy. The keyboard works fine... All the keys work but
for some reason they arent the same in autocad. Using LDD release 3. any help on how i can change this back?
