Private water storage used as potable and fire-water

Hi, new to the site. Hoping someone may have some insight on this.

If using a water storage tank for both drinking water and fire water supply, must both sets of standards be followed for tank maintenance? In other words, must NFPA 22 maintenance task and something such as AWWA standards be followed?

Umm..,yeah.
I must say it is very rare to see both mixed. Two very different standards.
I would first verify that the tank serves both.
