I have a drawing I need to print out. The scale for the view is 1:4. The View also is set to smart lightweight.

When I try to print this to our plotter, using file print, I get very very thick lines. 3.9mm. I would like my lines to be thin and crisp.

I have attached an image how thick these lines are plotting.

What setting do I have wrong or can I change to get nice thin crisp line? I have tried UGII_WMF_LINE_WIDTH_SCALE_FACTOR=.25

The line thicknesses did not change at all.

Sorry using NX10

Perhaps try the "single width" option in the plot dialog and specify a small value for the width. If that works, it is probably a plot configuration setting that needs to be updated/changed.

I found plotting setup in NX to be tedious and frustrating experience. Much easier is to export pdf from NX and than print it from Reader on large format printer with "actual size" checked in settings.

The PDF is my usual fall back. But the print is 42" by 330" I am printing out a long and narrow. I have figured out there is a "scale" under the line widths. I make this really really small and it works ok. I thought this was the print scale not line type scale. I got something that works ok for now. But still do not understand this line widths and why it came out the way it did. Thanks for all of the help.

If you are using plot command - you need to verify if line width setting in the plotter is equivalent to the line width setting you have in NX. Plot routine forwards vector information including pen number to the plotter (even if it is ink jet type) and plotter definition of the pen width in plotter determines how wide the line is printed.
So even if your width set for pen 1 is .13mm in NX but pen 1 in plotter is set to 4mm - line 4mm wide will be printed for all lines using pen 1.
