Hey guys. I'm having trouble printing an exact 1:1 scale document which I created in the drafting environment. It's a small image, about 200mm x 90mm and I want it printed on a A4 size paper. If someone could help me out, it would be much appreciated.
What's the problem? Generally when printing to scale, you will want to specify that you want to print an area otherwise you will be printing the entire draft sheet which is often bigger than what your printer can print. When setting the scale, use your TAB key to enter the Paper Length and Design Length. If it sticks to 1 to 1 then the area you specified will fit within the printable limits.
Whenever I print the document, it doesn't come out up to scale. When I zoom in or out, the printed size of the image is larger or smaller on the printout. I made sure the scale on the Drawing Area Setup is 1.00 and the paper size is A4 but still it doesn't print the dimensions up to scale. Am I missing something?
Shouldn't be a problem, but it depends on how accurate you need it to be.
50x25 extrusion, in to a draft, scaled 1:1, print on A4 comes out at 49.95 x 25.15 on paper, which is close for printing. Take in to account that this was printed on a basic LaserJet 1020
Firstly I measured with digital calipers and a magnifier, and then as an experiment I used an old profile projector (shadowgraph) that I have in my shop, not a bad result considering.......
