Primary Variable Flow

Does anyone know which chiller models support primary variable flow systems?

There are 1000's of chiller models to choose from . . . . .

Suggest you chat to your local suppliers and follow their advice. I have found most larger chillers can accomodate variable flow, and the smaller chillers are more limited.

I've always been a Carrier advocate, but Trane, McQuay, York... any of the major manufacturers will support such a system. The 23XRV is one hell of a machine... but whatever floats your boat, and suits your application...

In 25 years, the worst chillers I've seen were Carrier.
Trane and York have always performed great.

I've always scratched Carrier chillers from my specs when I could. They always have problems at strat-up. It takes 3 plus months to get Carrier chillers operating somewhat smoothly.

Interesting to know what the maintenance guys out there think. They probably have a more educated opinion on performance and reliability.

That's unfortunate... I can't say we've had similar results. Do you feel the issues were directly related to the machines themselves, the selection, or how they were installed, started up, etc? Which ones... Centrif? Screw? Your feedback is appreciated... I'm sure the OP would be appreciative as well.
