How to select pressure relief valve for domestic cold water piping? Pressure relief from 94psi to 60psi, the size of piping is 100mm. Thanks in advance.

Pressure Relief Valves (PRVs) relieve at one set pressure. Why cite a range? Select the size of PRV that matches the highest water capacity you have at over-pressure condition. For domestic water you can do this using a catalog.

The PRV should be set at about 15% less than the max pressure rating of the critical equipment. Factor in the effect of the static head between the equipment & the relief valve. Discharge to a safe location with drain where relief valve discharge will be visible. If closed system, make sure the makup water pressure regulating valve is set for correct pressure such that when the system gets hot, the expansion tank volume will prevent the system pressure from exceding the system relief valve pressure, otherwize treated water will spill out the drain.

JUst a thought. Are you trying to relieve the surge pressure in a system? if so a conventional relief valve will not act fast enough. You need another surge mitigation solution.
