I have converted my 1130 massey ferguson over to an open center system and i have discovered that i have too much pressure going to my powersteering rack. how can i reduce the pressure going into the steering valve?

If the system really is open center, the pressure at the steering control valve should be nearly zero until you start to turn.

Consider the possibility that you have done something not completely right.

everything works as should but we believe the priority valve is letting too much pressure to the steering valve which is in turn putting too much pressure to the steering rack. i was told that a pressure control valve or divider valve or something similar was what i needed. is this possible or am i looking at something else?

You've essentially redesigned the whole system.

We here are at a disadvantage because we don't know what the system looked like before, and we don't have the specs for any of the components, and we don't know what it looks like now, _and_ you haven't told us why you think the rack is getting too much pressure, while you also assert that everything works as it should.

power steering works great it just has developed leakage form the rack in the front. I talked to a gentleman that rebuilds hydraulic components and he said that the excessive pressure is causing fluid to pass by the seals on the rack cylinders.
