Pressure ratio (P_out/P_in) in critical flow is dependent on valve opening?

Hi, I am developing a solver for multiphase flow valve.

I have checked the Tulsa model (Sachdeva1986) and Al-Safran model (Al-Safran2009), and I found the pressure ratio (y = P_out/P_in) for critical flow does not contain the valve opening parameter in both equations.

Is it physically reasonable? I think how much the valve is opened could affect to when (in which outlet pressure) the critical flow happens. How do you think of...?
