Hi all,
I've got a pressed sprocket hub (2 piece assembly, sprocket hub, with replaceable teeth bolted on) on a power transmission shaft. Issue here is the shaft OD got bigger from original design, and the sprocket hub needs analysis to determine if it is OK at the larger bore w/ the same OD.

Question I have is how to relate the press fit stresses to the PT stresses. The circumferential stress (from interference) is just superposed onto the torsional stress, and the radial (from interference) is added to bending?

Reference Shigley & Mischke's Std Handbook of Machine Design pg 19.12 & the Lindeberg PE Ref Manual pg 51-5.

Thanks!
