Hello,
Would anyone be aware of Press-fit connectors being used in Military applications? We would like to use them in our application, and are a bit hesitant. Are there any press-fit connectors governed by a Military Specification?

Any input would help.
Tks!

Felice,
If you mean like Amphenol's compliant-pin version 38999 circular connectors, then I believe there aren't any that are mil-spec. Amphenol and others make non-mil-spec alterations of lots of their connectors. Everything else about the connector is to spec except the pins.

It's my understanding that they are used quite frequently in mil applications. We've not used them for space, but they seem very robust.
