Can anyone please provide me some reference for designing of precast beams. I lack the precast background therefore wish to start from the simple basics. An attachment would be very helpful. Thank you

Try the PCI manual. Lots of examples in there. Unless your beams are prestressed, it's not all that different from site cast beam design.

I like to debate structural engineering theory -- a lot. If I challenge you on something, know that I'm doing so because I respect your opinion enough to either change it or adopt it.

PCI manual means PCI industry handbook?

You bet: Link. If you want to pick up that "background", start with that. Also, make friends with TheMightyEngineer, Brad807, and Precast78 here. They're all very knowledgeable in this area.
