Powertrain component weights

From homebuilt aircraft sites - an automotive engine weighs ~ 2lbs per horsepower.

Questions

1.What does a fwd transaxle weigh ~ lbs/hp ?
2.Has there been any general weight reduction/hp in the last 10 years?
3.Is there any general powertrain weight differences between a fwd and a rwd system?
4.Any differences in domestic vs foreign weights?

I am interested in 100 and 200 hp powertrain systems.

1) including the gearbox diff and half the drivshaft?

2) hp has increased faster than weight has

3) a rwd has a propshaft, which weighs 10-15 kg at a guess

4) varies. If you want power / weight then you are looking for a turbo.

By the way, you need to define powertrain, it means different things to different people.

Pretty open ended problem, IMO. I can give you a couple of things that I can recall from quite a few years ago. I liked to get involved in odd engine applications and have been around several aero conversions...

SBC ~350, 4 barrel carb, wet sump ~685 lbs. 250+hp @ 4200 and 185 @ 2200 used in a pre war experimental biplane fighter replica. It flew well enough but was not aerobatic.
Corvair, don't remember the size, turbo, Carter YH carb, weight a bit over 400 lbs. power was in the area of 200 hp in the 4000 rpm range and I don't recall what it was at 22/2400 but a guess would be more than 100 and I never saw it's application.
Nissan V6 turbo engines in a Burt Rutan racer. Both engines were fuel injected and turbocharged. If Rutan chose these engins as the optimum auto application for a aero racer, I just gotta go along with him !

Not much help, I know. Just some FYI stuff to ponder.

Remember to include the total weight of the engine and all necessary ancillaries, including the total cooling system,
