I'm looking for a particular power triode valve:

English Electric BR1121 power triode valve
Type BR1121
No. 1171/UJ
Fil. Volts 6.6V

This is off of an RF welder which is rather old and I know that this particular part is obsolete.
I was wondering if anyone knew of anywhere in the UK (or Europe) that has old stock, or can provide information on a replacement or alternative solution.

I've searched the Internet for ages and have only found info about the device itself, but not stockists or anything else. I get the feeling I need to speak to a specialist who knows a lot more than me...

Thanks in advance,

Ian

Try Billington Export in the UK. They have (used to have?) a broad selection of new and reclaimed valves.

It's been a long time since I had any dealings with them, but they were OK in the early 1990's.

After a bit more searching and stumbling into other sites, I've come across 2 useful companies in the UK:

- Distributor of power triodes for:

And in the US:

A pretty useful site as it had some info about certain valves. The e2v site had loads of pdfs of info too so if anyone in the future requires them - I'd recommend going there.

Thanks for your help,

Ian
