Potting Compound

Does anyone have a recommendation for a potting compound that conducts heat but not electricity? We are looking for a product to replace Wakefield Engineering Delta Cast 153.

You can sometimes modify the mix by increasing the heat conducting alumina (or whtever you use). The general guidlines of
1) Do Not use any acid based cure method, only water based.
2) Do Not attempt to use potting material as an adhesive to hold parts down.

Test your exact system tofind the tolerance for your cure cycle to performance needed. Thick sections need a lot of time, warm acceleration only goes so far.

For large potted assemblies, I like 50-3150FR from

Search for it under 'technical bulletins'. It runs about $60 or so a gallon.

Not sure how thermally conductive it is, but DP-270 (available from McMaster Carr) is electrically inert.
