I am having major lagging problem, especially when rorating views or panning in and out. It is even worse when trying to rotate or zoom in/out to a assembly that has been sectioned. If I go to the sworks RX, and open swrks in openGL mode, it seems to fix the problems. What exactly does this mean? What is openGL, and what are the limitations be running sworks in opengl mode?

thanks much....

Running in software openGL means that your computers processor is doing all the graphics processing and not the video card. It will be painfully slow for anything other than cubes.

You have a non-CAD card. Get one off of SolidWorks approved card list. ATI FireGL cards or Nvidia Quadro cards are the most common.

Allright, Im up and running. I downloaded the latest drivers for the radeon 9550, and that fixed the lagging problem I was having.
