post pwht weld repair on SA-387-11 per section VIII -1

Under any condition is it permissible to make a repair to a sa-387-11 weld after PWHT and not have to re-PWHT per code.
 
No. Local PWHT is permitted after repairs. Look at UW-40.
 
Yeah, that is what I found. I searched every spec concerning repair and PWHT under different P groups and could only find allowance for pipe and tubing 4" and less with wall thickness of .625 for P4 material. I figured I'd ask to see if I missed something. Thanks.
 
Not only re-PWHT, I think you might also need to check your PQR, see how many cycle of PWHT is done there, if there is any extra cycles done to cover further repair, to ensure properties of the weld, parent material and HAZ are still ok. If your application high temperature.

PQR was run for 5 cycles. We ended up just doing a full band local.
