hello all,
Its my first time doing a CNC project and I'm confused about how to make a post processor. I modelled the Sherline 2010 CNC and using the machine tool builder I set the axis's. But what do I do next? How do I add the machine to the NX library? I followed the Siemens Tech Tips and tried to make a post processor but when I try to add my machine and simulate the toolpaths it doesnt show the machine. What parameters do I have to change when making the post processor after I set the rotary axis?

The project is to mill the following parts.
Can somebody please help me?

Thanks! :)

Did you use Post Builder to make the post?

Hi, for building the postprocess you need use a post builder , in this application your can building the post, in machine tool builder is for unite the post and cnc machine, and have a simulation advanced or ISV please let me know if this can help to you

Yeah I used the post builder. But how do I integrate that in to NX? and combine the postprocessor and the machine?

To use the post you created in Post Builder, Select your program or operation > Postprocess.
For testing, browse to the .pui file of your postprocessor
For continued use, go to Menu > Tools > Install NC Postprocessor. This will copy the files in to the correct folder, and add the postprocessor to the list in the dialog.

I would also recommend going through the tutorial found at Menu > Help > Manufacturing Tutorials > Output.
