Hi everyone,

i´m from germany an doing my master right now.
Is there any body of rules to proof the static use of the T-joints ?
Is there a possibility to calculate the resistor of the T-Joints?
In Germany and Europe there are very few rules to do so.

Anybody help me ?

Thanks a lot

Can we clarify what you mean by a T-joint?

When you say you are doing a Masters Thesis are you asking for a common understanding of your problem, or something in the high-technology range?

Hi John,

a T-joint is the connection between the post an the bar.
It is often connected under the use of self-tapping screws in combination with some kinds of elements. In wich way do you get a proof of the ultimate state limit ? are you using tests or can some joints be proofed calculatively ?
I´m looking for an exchange of informations between our countries :-)

Thanks for your help
looking forward to here from you
