Please can somebody tell me about positive tolerance on pipe wall thickness (ASTM A106 Gr. B). As per my interpretation, ASTM A106 mentions only about negative tolerance i.e minus 12.5%.

Example: Pipe thickness for a schedule 80 3'' pipe (carbon steel) is 7.62mm whereas received pipe with wall thickness 8.5mm (i.e approximately 112.5% WT).

Please advise me if I'm wrong.

ASTM A106 refers to ASTM A530 General Requirements for Specialized Carbon and Alloy Steel Pipe, which lists the tolerances for wall thickness, OD, ID, etc.
