I have a question regarding positional representations in assemblies.
I am using Inventor 9 and I want to make my main assembly move when a hydraulic cylinder moves.
The only way I am able to do this is by making the hydraulic cylinder as two different parts directly under in the main assembly, but that results in the sylinder showing up as two separate parts in the part list.
I want to make the hydraulic cylinder as a sub-assembly, but I am not able to use the “override” command on constraints for parts in sub-assembly.
I am only able to use the “override” commando on constraints for parts or sub-assemblies directly under the main assembly.
Can anyone help me with this??

Tanks.
Didn't know there was a "flexible" option.
(Don't think it was in the earlier versions).
