Hi Mike, I have read lots of questions regarding this topic on this forum. Can you please suggest any book where I can read it in detail and find solved examples of design of poles and embedment.

If I remember correctly (I might not be), both the above and the IBC equations are based on ASNI/ASAE EP486, Shallow Post and Pier Foundation Design
