I am investingating an existing building and there is a very wide plywood glu-lam girder carrying the floor framing.

Has anyone ever seen anything like this?

This is a project in Florida and was originally built in 1920 but I believe this to be a more recent renovation.

Any idea what it is or information on a website where I can find more info would be a great help.

Thanks, Joe

It is probably a piece of Gang Lam made by LP. Definately a new addition. It also might be a Trus Joist Microlam.

I think the earliest use of glulam in the US was in about 1934.
