Hi guys, I'm now doing the frequency response analysis (step: modal steady-state dynamic) on a cantilever beam. I need the frequency vs displacement graph, but when I plotted the graph in Abaqus, I have obtained this graph here: . But actually the graph should be something like this: (see 1-3 magnitude). Does anyone here know how to get such a graph in Abaqus/Excel? Maybe I have to translate the graph so that the anti-resonance would be resonance? Thanks a lot in advance! =)

So the Excel image shows the displacement components and you've plotted the overall magnitude? Then you should use the components too.

You should also check, if you use base motion and if there is a difference between U and TU.

Thanks for the reply Mustaine3!
In the Excel image the plot is the overall magnitude, the numbers 1-2 and so on actually refer to different models/speciments.
Yup I use base motion for the analysis and I've tried plotting TU as well but I still didn't get the correct graph :(

We don't know your models, so just by looking at the plots it is impossible to say why the results are different.
